Texted a girl this afternoon whom I got the number from 6 months ago. A lot had happened in between then and now, and it just wasn't the right moment to text during that time. Anyway, I was pretty straight forward and asked her early if she wants to meet up somewhere this week. Her response was the classic "I don't know I don't have time". So yeah that's when I thought I definitely missed my shot.
Anyway, I thought it was a bit of a vague answer so I asked her if I was overwhelming her or if she didn't want to meet up with me at all. She replied with something like: "I just have private stuff going on and don't meet up with people that often, but it's not on you". Another vague answer. So this time I asked: "okay, I understand. But would you like to meet up someday or just prefer not to?" And she then said: "yes sure that's not a problem to me." (Not exactly like this but it's a bit weird to translate).
I then said that i was surprised about the fact that she still wanted to meet up after 6 months of not texting her. She then said: "I thought it's funny you're still thinking about this haha". Which i replied with: "i don't forget stuff ever haha. But for real i wanted to text you sooner but just couldn't." She then replied with "ah okay o well."
That was our conversation in a nutshell. I personally think that my chances are low to none, but something within me just doesn't want to believe that. I didn't reply after her last message as it's pretty lame response indicating she's probably not that into me.
What should I do? I have a bit of an ego and don't want to walk after her like a dog; i just can't. On the other hand, am i in the wrong here? Should i have said something in response and not let the convo die?
