I just had a convo with a girl in a group chat that brought back traumatizing cringy convos I had with matches/a few dates:
She (replying to someone else's invite): sorry I have XYZ, I can't go. May join another time
Me (responding to her): oh what is XYZ?
Her: it's a rehearsal.
Me: a rehearsal for what?
Her: a rehearsal for ABC.
At this point, I already felt fed up. Her answers were so generic. My friends even asked me why I asked even though she already kept it generic. But I persevered stupidly.
Me: oh cool. What kind of ABC and what do you guys do?
After a few more moments past, I told her straight up in the group chat that "forget I asked. It feels like pulling teeth at this point and it's no longer a fun convo to have."
This isn't about her response time cause I understand people have stuff to do and I can wait; it's about how she goes about answering questions. Here I had to keep asking for more info. This type of conversation method kills all my interests of getting to know a person, platonically, let alone romantically.
