I don't know how other guys feel about getting a chance. But as a guy who almost has no romantic life and just contantly rejected, I can't help but feel it's condescending. Like you just know you are the ugly guy no one REALLY wants but because so many attractive guys get swept up whether they are good at dating or not, the ugly ones get left remaing. And if you are socially awkward because you don't really know what to do in your first every date or whatever, it kinda gives the other party to be hands-off and if you mess it up, you have no one to blame but yourself for being single because the other person gave you chance after all, but you blew it.
