If you're struggling with something that the other person did, or did NOT do, then just ask them.
Why is everyone so scared of the person they're trying to date? Why aren't you just honest with them?
If you like someone, let them know. Obviously, don't tell them until they've actually proven themselves as likable persons (some people say they like someone on the first date, which in most cases is just because they're excited to be dating at all).
And if they're not on the same wavelength as you, then you might not be a good match.
If you're looking for a long term relationship that you WANT to work, then you won't have trouble understanding if you like that person, or if they like you.
So if you're both shy, take the first step and ask them.
If their feelings aren't in the same place, they either need a bit more time, or they're not as into you as you are into them.
