Back in October, I started talking to a guy who was mutual friends with all of my close friends. After a month of dating, we both admitted our feelings for each other and we were “going to see how it goes,” by not putting a title on anything. I wasn’t concerned about this because he never used sex against me and made me feel like he liked me for me, not just to get in my bed. Today, I still don’t think that’s what he wants from me.
Every time we hung out after that, things were weird. He wouldn’t prioritize me, be more concerned with getting high before we hung out, and couldn’t commit to our “relationship.” So, I slowly ghosted him (but in a friendly way lol?) since our friends hang out with each other a lot.
I would still often run into him at parties. But, I would keep our interactions short and quick so I didn’t feel awkward. He never brought up our relationship again (although he had many opportunities) and never mentioned how I ghosted him. So, I figured we were fine and we could continue as friends.
Then, I had some family issues and had to fly home for two months to help out. For some reason, he found out about it even though I mostly kept that information to myself. He reached out to me and told me to have a safe trip? I brushed it off as him just being nice since that’s the kind of person he is.
Now, he just liked my Hinge profile, even though he has the ability to text me, call me, DM me, or he even knows where I live? I guess what I’m asking is what is the point of liking my profile after we clearly ended things? Is it even worth it for me to text him and ask him why he did that or is he just playing games with my brain?
My friends are telling me that it’s not worth my time but I would like to get some piece of mind so I’d love to hear some advice!
