I’ll start off by saying I’m an introvert. I barely go out to parties and a few weeks back, I decided to go to my sister’s party.
Let me give a bit of a background. My crush (Jane) is about 5-6 years older than me and the thing is, ever since I was 11, I had a huge crush on her. I never thought I had a chance, until one day, I was around 17 at the time. She comes over to talk to my sister, but instead, we end up taking a lot. It’s small talk but it’s something. I start thinking I have a chance.
Now back to the party. So keep in mind, my sister and her other friends are also attending.I barely ever go out as I said before. But I’m after a few drinks I start to get a little loose and dance around, move a bit. After about an hour of dancing, Jane comes close and she gives me her hand. Am I dreaming? I take it, we dance just for a little bit. I twirl her around, she laughs, then I give her a hug and I go back to do my own thing.
A few minutes later, Jane dances really quick with another guy, so I thought maybe she’s just trying to show me a good time because I barely go out.
But after that, every time I was really dancing, she would dance next to me, and she would put her arm around my shoulder and we would hop together haha. We were sitting next to each other at first however, it when I was sitting, instead of going farther away, she would dance in front of me, and I could see al of her back. Still could be a coincidence right?
When we leave the club, Jane’s hugging me by the side and she’s very expressive. She’s telling me she had a lot of fun, I say “because I’m here?” She laughed and said yeah.
So we go to another club, this one is a bit more involved. I start dancing, she starts dancing. She tells me to put her arms on her shoulders and to dance with her. So I do. Then I catch Jane staring at my crotch multiple times. And now I’m thinking maybe I’m not so fucking crazy.. but I keep in mind that this girl barely sees me and is maybe being really friendly. We’re not close but we have history.
So the last song comes on, it’s more of an anthem so Jane hugs my side again, and this time I decide to grow some balls and I take my hand down lower, and lower, and lower, until my sister looks our way. I could kind of tell she knew what I was trying to do because Jane also pushed away after she saw my sister. And that was kind of the end of the night.
I go over to the AirBNB to grab my stuff the next day and I’m greeted by Jane, and she’s says my name really excited. Like you know how some girls are like “Heyyy” when they see a person they haven’t seen in a while? And I’m like ok so she does remember what happened.
So now I’m stuck here, wondering if my life long crush likes me or if she was just trying to show me a good time. I had a chance to go to other parties but I chickened out because I felt I would get my heart broken or I wouldn’t be as energetic as last time. Introvert problems.
What do you think? I’d love to hear feedback, advice, and if you think she likes me, how do I go about this? I really want to have any type of romantic relationship with this girl but she’s different. I can’t just text her and say “at least I don’t have to see her again” because I do. She’s a close family friend. But still I don’t want to blow a possible chance with this amazing girl.
