Is he a walking red flag or am I overreacting?

I (22f) went on a date with a guy (26m) I met on tinder.

This was my first date with a a person I never saw irl, and I'm feeling confused. He's good-looking, smart, multilingual, and has a good job. We both agreed it’s not about sex, which seemed promising. He said he’s not interested in one night stands right now.

But the date took an odd turn. He couldn't stop talking about sex. Everything revolved around it— stories, questions, jokes. He asked questions, but I only answered one. It made me a little uncomfortable. Strangely, I still liked other things about him. He was nice and spoke well of his family and just overall made me curious about his persona.

Is this normal, and have you experienced something like this? Should I avoid him, thinking he only wants sex, or give him another chance if he asks for a second date (kinda feel like he won’t though — maybe that’s for the best)? My gut says avoid, but part of me wants that second chance.

Dating is hard these days.
