A few days ago a friend of a friend I'd met at a few college parties slid into my DMs. He tried to hit on me once back in 2019, before realising I was with my (now) ex. We were getting on so well since we started talking a few days ago. He seemed really into me. Similar interests, sense of humour etc. He was carrying like 60% of the conversation, so I know for sure I wasn't coming off too strong etc. It was he who asked to meet for coffee and a walk by the beach next week. Only yesterday! He was gonna drive an hour to meet me.
He messaged me like normal today and then suddenly at 8pm he opened my last Snapchat and didn't reply. After a while I went stalker mode and saw he'd been online since. Around 10pm I said "hey, I hope I didn't offend you with X joke". I was worried that's why he wasn't replying, even if he had laughed at said joke earlier today. I just didn't get why he wasn't.. Like 10 minutes later he said "oh crap no, not at all, I'm at my friends and must've forgot to reply, my apologies". I said "ah that's ok, have fun 😊". To be fair, he really was, judging from the snap he sent me with some other guys. It's 1am and he still hasn't opened it and what's more, he's turned off his location on Snapchat? I mean what are the odds? I hate myself for getting all excited just cos he's smart and funny. If he tries to hit me up again or does actually open and respond, should I bother? I hate time wasters. I normally wouldn't give a damn about a guy I've only been talking to for a few days, but I do kinda know him through mutual friends and always thought he was cute 😔 What should I do? Part of me is so annoyed that I'm like "nah no decent guy would do this just a few days into texting a girl, he'd only hurt you later on". Like yes, with friends I may go an hour or 2 without checking my phone but dude clearly was checking his phone and choosing not to answer me and switched off his location for some reason??
