I [21M] haven't been actively dating in months because we went into lockdown around Christmas because the cases shot up. During this time in lockdown, the college stress is getting to me and I've been craving intimacy so bad, so much so that I'm unhappy that I don't have a gf. I know this is a bad thing because a relationship should be the icing on the cake so to speak and I don't want to go in while I'm in a desperate mindset.
It's like a double-edged sword. Half of me is so eager to put myself out there again, and the other half of me doesn't want to bother until everyone's vaccinated and the virus becomes less of an obstacle. This summer, my country's restrictions will be lifting slowly. But I'm on the fence about going ahead with dating at this point because I'm not vaccinated yet (not for another few months) and my only option is dating apps (which I don't really want to go back to since I'm not prepared to ask someone out at the moment)
Anyone else in the same boat?
