Before I dropped out of Law School I met a really nice guy and we talked everyday. Since I dropped out we talk only about once a month. He told me he gets really stressed and nervous about school so I don't take it personally.
Last week I was talking to a girlfriend who is still in school. I suggested we go to a concert together and I said we should invite the guy I like. She said that they're "really close and study all of the time" and I freaked out (I've been burned bad in old relationships so I have a lot of trust issues I'm working on). I told her I have a crush on him and she got excited and said she would invite him. I told her I didn't want to make it awkward in case she liked him too and she said that they were just good friends and she didn't see him like that.
Anyways I just had to vent. Why am I feeling so insecure about this? When the guy I liked used to study together we never actually worked on school work and would only talk about life and music...
