I (20F) am about to turn 21 and I have never dated before. This is largely due to being homeschooled my entire life and being busy trying to finish college early. I have never been a big party person and I’m pretty introverted so there has not been a lot of opportunities to date. Now that I have graduated and am trying to move on with life, I am debating whether or not to download some dating apps like Bumble to try and meet people. I am definitely looking for something more long term, so I am a bit nervous around dating app culture. But I know it’s how most people date nowadays. Especially in the middle of a pandemic, I hardly leave the house and the options for meeting guys in person is so limited! Sometimes I really want to get in a relationship and other days I am completely happy being single. I definitely think that I am mature enough to start dating and to be in a relationship, it will just take some getting used to since I’ve been single forever. How did you know you were ready to start dating? Do you think it’s a good idea to put myself out there or should I wait a bit? It’s sort of a nerve racking thing for me! I’d really appreciate some advice.
