Im going in and I need as much back up as I can get

Theres a girl in my gym class. I like her but never really talk to her or even know her name and she doesn't know me either. I know how to talk to girls just not ones I like. (Yes i know, im a little virgin who doesn't have much success in the dating realm). How should I approach her? What should I say? Stuff like that would be great for you guys to answer. Thanks
