When I scroll through this sub here are some REALLY desperate people there. "I've never been in a relationship in my whole life" things like that.
I just wonder how desperate they truly are. And we can answer this question by asking: theoretically. would you give up EVERYTHING ELSE in your life if it meant you could secure a long term relationship?
For example: you have a job, a group of friends and family and pets, a home and various hobbies. If you could magically get yourself a relationship at the cost of giving up ALL these things, would you do it? Meaning you will now be unemployed, you now live in a crappy apartment, and you will no longer see your friends and family and pets anymore and you can no longer do your hobbies that you enjoy. But just theoretically, you have a partner in lieu of all these things.
A more realistic example would be if, theoretically if you devote 100% of your time, effort and money on dating, you will be successful. Meaning you sacrifice time and money spent on other aspects of your life, and redirect that ALL to dating, and you can now guarantee you will eventually have a relationship. Would you make this sacrifice?
I basically just wanna get an idea of how desperate these people are.
